What is SwitchEmail?
SwitchEmail is the World's premier recipient locator and e-mail forwarding service that allows you to
switch e-mail addresses without losing e-mail sent to the OLD e-mail
address.
We are DIFFERENT from other services in several ways:
- We offer our basic service FREE of charge
- We do not require users to keep OLD e-mail accounts active or open.
- We do not require you to open an e-mail address with us.
- You do not need to tell us your password at your ISP.
- We are able to forward messages to and from any ISP.
You are free to have your e-mail address ANYWHERE and change your address as many times as you WISH!

How does SwitchEmail forward Email from OLD to NEW Email addresses?
SwitchEmail operates similar to a "Change of Address" service offered by the local Post Office that
forwards mail to a new address. Similarly, users register OLD and NEW e-mail addresses with us.
Users have (2) options upon registration:
Those with open or active OLD e-mail accounts register under Verifiable Accounts.
That way, SwitchEmail can verify the ownership of the OLD account, and we will automatically forward messages to the NEW e-mail address.
Those with closed OLD e-mail accounts register under Non Verifiable Accounts. Since the ownership of the OLD account cannot be verified,
SwitchEmail notifies the sender of the NEW e-mail address.

What are Verifiable Accounts?
Verifiable Accounts are OLD e-mail accounts that are still OPEN or ACTIVE when registering with SwitchEmail.
For security and protection, a PIN is sent to the OLD e-mail address upon registering, and is used to enter the NEW e-mail address.
Note: If you do not have a NEW e-mail address already active, then PLEASE ACTIVATE or open a NEW e-mail address
at a service of your choosing, such as AOL, Hotmail, etc. After activating the NEW e-mail account,
log in to SwitchEmail.com, enter the given PIN, then enter the NEW e-mail address.
Each user may freely enter up to 2 OLD e-mail addresses*. Likewise, each OLD e-mail address will require
a NEW e-mail address for forwarding. All NEW e-mail addresses can be the same or different.
* If you have more than 2 OLD e-mail address, then please subscribe to our VIP Club.
Once NEW e-mail address has been entered, the OLD e-mail address should be closed IMMEDIATELY.
Otherwise mail will continue to be sent to the OLD e-mail address. After the OLD e-mail account is closed, messages received by us that
were sent to the user's OLD e-mail address will be AUTOMATICALLY forwarded to the NEW e-mail address.
The entire process is very simple, and after registering, SwitchEmail will send an e-mail with a few simple steps to walk users
through the process.

What is a PIN?
|
A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is provided for each OLD Email address
under Verifiable Accounts and is used to verify the ownership of the OLD Email address. We want to prevent
any unauthorized forwarding of your Email.

How does a PIN differ from a password?
A password allows access to an individual account. Each account may have several
OLD e-mail addresses. A PIN will be sent for each OLD e-mail address under Verifiable Accounts,
and must be used to enter the NEW e-mail address.

Why is a PIN necessary?
For security and verification. A PIN allows us to know that the rightful
owner of the OLD Email address is the one forwarding the Email to the NEW Email address.
THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY & PROTECTION.
This is why
it is important to NOT SHARE passwords and PINs with anyone, otherwise they
will have the capability to forward your Email to some other Email address.
SwitchEmail cannot be held responsible if you share passwords or PINs.

Will there be multiple PINs?
PIN is ONLY issued for each OLD e-mail address under Verifiable Account. If there is one OLD e-mail address then there is just one PIN, if two OLD e-mail addresses then 2 PINs,
and so on.

How long do I have to remember the PIN?
Just long enough to enter the NEW Email address for the OLD Email address under Verifiable Accounts.
Once you have entered the NEW Email address under Verifiable Accounts. The PIN can then be discarded.

What are Non Verifiable Accounts?
Non Verifiable Accounts are OLD e-mail accounts that are CLOSED out, and there is no way to log on to the old e-mail address.
Since SwitchEmail cannot send a PIN to a CLOSED e-mail address for verification of ownership, the sender of the UNDELIVERED e-mail
is informed by SwitchEmail of the NEW e-mail address, and the sender must forward the e-mail to the NEW address.

Why are there so many restrictions?
We know that e-mail is very important to you and confidential.
While the basic service is FREE, we do not want to compromise anyone's security or privacy, and we will
do our best to prevent unauthorized forwarding of e-mail.

How does the download software work?
The download software handles the undeliverable e-mails that you get.
